For The Dubliner
Been working with these lads awhile now and really looking forward to this EP getting released. Little preview of some images that’ll be used in the EP artwork.
ITS ALL VERY EXCITING
The good people at Festival Annual just mailed me acouple of spreads from this years annual that will be out next week.
Its all very exciting
Shot these guys afew weeks ago before i got sick. Comedy Ireland had them in a jammed Whelans. First time seeing The Rubberbandits and have to say they completely lived up to the hype. “Were a serious rap crew from Limerick, and everytime we’ve a gig in Dublin they keep sticking us in comedy clubs, whats the fuckin’ story with that like???”
So it was the Friday Night of Oxegen and these two lads stop me and say the usual:
‘Here mate you should photograph us, were mental’
“Yeah alright”
‘Are you with The Herald?’
“No”
‘Here check this out’
One of the guys tries to take off his wellie but can’t, so he asks a girl walking by to help him, shes in the middle of txting and puts her phone in her mouth and grabs the wellie. They slip around for a while and eventually get the wellie off, with alittle splash.
The guy pours a liquid out of the wellie and says:
‘Couldn’t get out of my wet suit to go to the jacks so piss has been running down my leg and into my wellie all day’
!!!
The poor girl just turned and walked away through the mud, im pretty sure she will never help anyone again
